Decoding the Immune System to Power Precision Medicine

Selected Precision Medicine Applications

Immuno-Oncology

IMU is advancing the field of immuno-oncology by exploring the system-level immune signatures of cancer. Our focus encompasses the entirety of the patient journey, including early detection, precise patient stratification, and advanced monitoring for responses, toxicity, and potential relapse.

IMU is one of the leading partners in the ground-breaking UK research consortium, MANIFEST, investigating patient response to cancer immunotherapies. IMU’s research is predicting how patients will respond to immune checkpoint inhibitors, and incidence and severity of adverse events, with the aim of transforming trial design, stratification and treatment selection.

Transplantation

IMU is pioneering the use of innovative, systems-level immunological approaches for patient monitoring in solid organ transplantation. Partnering with leading centres, IMU is bringing powerful predictive signatures of early transplant rejection, differential aetiologies of rejection, and graft infection to clinics, to dramatically improve patient outcomes.

Cell Therapy

In hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), IMU is developing a first-in-class predictive screening tool for graft efficacy, enabling personalised donor selection and transforming patient outcomes in both relapse and Graft vs Host Disease.

IMU is also at the forefront of accelerating allogeneic and autologous engineered cell therapy drug development processes. Leveraging our advanced immune analytics platform, we address critical development challenges such as donor selection, product characterisation, and patient stratification and monitoring. This integrated approach ensures a more efficient and effective development process to get cutting edge therapies to the right patients.

Autoimmunity

IMU is at the forefront of tackling critical challenges in autoimmune disease. This includes the management of refractory diseases and the discovery of novel therapeutic targets. IMU is extending these advanced methodologies to novel research areas, including the study of psychosis, broadening the horizons of medical research and patient care.
