Position Information

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be point of contact with colleagues across all functions to prepare and amend contracts (with the support of external counsel), including work orders, change orders, material transfer agreements, CDAs, consultancy agreements, contract letters, etc.
  • Support to the Chief Legal Officer and IMU’s management team in the negotiation of contractual agreements with third parties.
  • Update and maintain fit for purpose contract archival, contracting processes including deadlines and expirations, legal templates, SOPs and policies.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to work independently but collaboratively to accomplish objectives, using good judgment to spot issues and provide possible solutions.
  • Prepare management reports to support monitoring and management of external activities as required.
  • Expanding into adjacent activities to support the growing needs of IMU as skills and interests align with needs. Areas of opportunity include working with the Chief Legal Officer in supporting the patent docket and/or supporting quality and clinical efforts as well as improving specific legal skills.

IMU Biosciences offers a competitive package. Base salary offered will be subject to the skills and experience of the individual. The package will also include a discretionary annual results-driven bonus, Share Options and other benefits.

 

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Educated to degree level with at least 5 years legal training and/or experience in biotech, pharma or related industries, including relevant academia experience. Machine learning familiarity is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with complex collaborations and fee for service contracts required; experience with clinical studies contracts preferred.
  • Flexible, pragmatic and practical, highly motivated to ensure that activities meet challenging timelines and able to propose practical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, take the initiative, planning and managing multiple and varied tasks and prioritize workload
  • Commitment to high-quality and diligent standards, with attention to detail and rigorous record -keeping.
  • Ability to work co-operatively with others, as part of a team, engaging constructively with colleagues at all levels to deliver objectives.
  • Good IT skills including confidence with Google based office tools.
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours as may be required from time to time.
